Your first show in five minutes
Follow along with a projector or a second monitor connected. Without one, the first four steps still work.
1. Make a playlist
Section titled “1. Make a playlist”Click the blue New List at the very bottom of the sidebar. It arrives named New Playlist, so right-click that row and use Rename to give it the name of your event.
2. Put in what you will show
Section titled “2. Put in what you will show”Drag a video or a photo from the Finder into the middle.
For YouTube, click Link and paste the address.
Drag what you put in until it sits in the order it will go out.
3. Decide which screen it goes to
Section titled “3. Decide which screen it goes to”In the status bar at the bottom of the window, click the field next to the monitor icon and pick your projector or second monitor.
4. Check it first
Section titled “4. Check it first”Click the slide card’s name row, or Option + click it.
Nothing goes to the audience screen; the slide is only loaded into Slide settings on the right.
(Clicking the thumbnail sends it out that instant.)
This is where you work on Slide settings on the right.
- If there is empty space around the picture, set Scale to
Fill - Trim the dead weight at the head of a video with In point · Out point
5. Send it out
Section titled “5. Send it out”Click the thumbnail once and it goes to the audience screen right then.
Right-clicking the card and choosing Present, or pressing Enter, does the same.
To move to the next one, click the next slide’s thumbnail. The overlap during the change is set in Playlist settings → Crossfade.
To finish, use the red stop button in the control row, Clear All (F1).
How long it takes to disappear is set by Fade out.
To take the output itself down, use Stop Output.
6. Lay music over it
Section titled “6. Lay music over it”Drag a track into the music area below. Music runs separately from the slides, so it does not break when you change what is on screen.
If speech is buried when a video plays, set Settings › Stage › Music › Music while video plays to Lower. It returns on its own when the video ends.
Once more before the event
